Link buildings, yards, gates and remote structures with licensed or unlicensed radio where trenching fiber is impractical or the ground is not yours to dig.

A radio link instead of a trench

Point-to-point wireless is usually chosen for a reason that has nothing to do with radio: a road nobody will let you cut, a leased parcel, a temporary yard, or a fiber quote with a nine-month delivery date. The link has to carry the same traffic the trench would have, through weather it will see every year.

The work is mostly survey and structure. Confirming a clear path, checking the Fresnel zone is not clipped by a roofline or a tree that will be taller next summer, and mounting to something that will not move in wind. The radios themselves are the easy part.

Link build activities

  • Path survey, line-of-sight check and Fresnel clearance assessment
  • Mast, non-penetrating roof mount or wall bracket installation
  • Radio alignment against measured signal, not visual aim alone
  • Surge suppression, grounding and weatherproofed cable entry

Radio links drift over years, so the commissioning numbers are the baseline you compare against later.

Building a link

Nothing gets ordered until the path survey says the link is possible.

Survey

Verify line of sight and clearance from both ends, on site.

Structure

Install mast or mount rated for the antenna load and local wind.

Align

Peak the radios on measured signal and lock the hardware down.

Commission

Record the link budget and run throughput against the requirement.

Radio bridges suit spans where a cable path is blocked by ownership, cost or time rather than distance.
