Deployment, cutover and field support

Staged, deployed, validated and supported in the field

For Fortinet Field Installation, TechRunz combines equipment staging with onsite installation, cutover, validation, troubleshooting, maintenance, refresh work and post-install field support. We can join during planning or take over a live rollout across western markets.

New installation: Launching a new rollout? We can stage kits, deploy onsite, commission the technology and document acceptance.

Existing system: Supporting installed technology? We can troubleshoot, replace, refresh, maintain and close out corrective work.

Fortinet branch and campus field installation

Execute FortiGate, FortiSwitch and FortiAP cutovers with controlled firmware, remote engineering, hold points and rollback.

What makes this rollout different

Fortinet field work often combines FortiGate appliances, FortiSwitch and FortiAP. The remote network or security team owns the approved configuration and policy; the field runbook identifies what the technician may change, who authorizes progress and how to recover if management or service is lost.

FortiGate readiness includes circuits, handoff, addressing, rack power, HA cabling and rollback. FortiSwitch readiness includes FortiLink or standalone management, uplinks, stacking, PoE and patching. FortiAP readiness includes certified cable, mount, orientation and the approved wireless design.

Firmware is not upgraded opportunistically during the outage window. Target releases, images, backups and staging results are recorded in advance. Acceptance covers business traffic, remote management and approved resilience—not only front-panel status.

Platform families in the field package

The site kit, instructions and validation must match the role of each product family.

FortiGate

Firewall and SD-WAN appliances tied to circuits and cutover control.

FortiSwitch

Access switching, FortiLink, uplinks, stacks and PoE.

FortiAP

Wireless AP mounting, cabling, PoE and RF validation.

Fabric operations

FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer or cloud visibility coordinated remotely.

Repeatable deployment runbook

Every stage has prerequisites, an owner, evidence and a clear exception path.

Baseline

Capture the before state, circuit, cables, configuration backup and health.

Hold points

Define approval before outage, firmware, migration and rollback decisions.

Cut over

Rack, cable, power and activate while remote engineering validates.

Evidence

Record interfaces, versions, service tests, photos and exceptions.

Site acceptance evidence

  • WAN, routing, security paths and approved HA behavior are validated.
  • FortiLink, switching, uplinks and PoE show the expected topology.
  • Wireless clients connect and pass representative service checks.
  • Rollback remains available until the named owner accepts the site.
