Beyond the design and gear list, the crew needs the floors released for the night, the rooms held out of inventory, badge or key arrangements, and the duty manager’s number. Controlled onsite deployment

Stage devices and configurations by property, floor and room/area. Protect guest privacy and avoid recording room or reservation information in general evidence. Install through phased floors or zones with noise, access and ceiling controls. Preserve front-desk and guest support paths, and keep old equipment available until the phase passes.

Hold points on an occupied property are as much about the front desk as the network, so the procedure should name who confirms check-in still works before the crew moves to the next floor. Keep the replaced access point and its patch cord on the cart, and write exceptions into the phase log nightly.

Acceptance here is described by floor and area rather than by device alone, so a later complaint about a room can be matched to what was tested. Guest-facing results should be captured without reservation details. Note the window, the phase, and the staff member who watched the front-desk and POS checks pass.

Fleet records, exceptions and support handoff

Deliver property/floor/area assets, rack and port maps, AP records, software, tests, exceptions and phase acceptance. Transfer monitoring, portal/certificate, carrier, property-system, spares and overnight escalation ownership. Schedule follow-up for occupied rooms or event spaces that could not be tested and keep them visible in program reporting.

Night audit and overnight staff inherit this system first, so the package should read for them: which closet feeds which floor, what the guest portal looks like when it is healthy, and who to call when it is not. Portal certificates and carrier account details stay in the client repository.
